The University of Vermont Press, launched in 2023 as a diamond open access publisher, invites scholars and members of the PHA to submit monographs and edited volumes for publication. Under the diamond model of open access, authors pay no book processing charges or fees and all UVM Press titles are free to download. In October 2024, the University of Vermont will formally launch its Planetary Health Initiative. With nearly one hundred programs already available to UVM students in areas related to Planetary Health, UVM is in a unique position to build greater capacity in this developing field. UVM Press welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with PHA and its membership as UVM grows its planetary health presence. Their goal is to bring high-quality, free research to everyone, removing the barriers to entry and the economic and social inequities that continue to put professional research out of reach for many.
Hope Ministries International, through its network in Malawi and abroad, will together address planetary health challenges in Malawi with collaborative efforts from government, civil society, and international partners to ensure a sustainable future for all is achieved. Malawi’s Planetary Health is under threat due to climate change, deforestation, water pollution, and unsustainable agriculture practices, compromising human well-being and the environment. However, opportunities exist through renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, conservation efforts, and climate-resilient healthcare initiatives. Together we can achieve.
EcoCitizen is committed to creating a sustainable and regenerative future where economic, social, and ecological goals are harmonized. Through their four branches (climate change, sustainability, Planetary Health, and integral ecology) they are driving meaningful progress towards achieving public and private sector climate goals. Their interdisciplinary approach and talented team with in-depth knowledge are focused on finding solutions and developing opportunities in social and environmental indicators, sound governance, social responsibility, and digitalization. Within the PHA, they are dedicated to knowledge sharing and teamwork to promote Planetary Health.
